About the Book: Launch Party and Blessing of the Book
We celebrated the launching of the book with a special party for family and friends on October 26, 2008, at Joseph-Beth Booksellers. The party was held prior to the official book signing at the bookstore later that day.
The Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL) was also a part of the party--they brought their big RV, Rover, to the event and were able to find homes for 4 cats and one dog that day. Plus they received a lot of exposure to new supporters and potential donors.
The launch party was a wonderful gathering of family and friends to give a special blessing to the book as it was given to the world. With our book designer, Kelly Novak, and my friend Flo Worth leading the way, we all sang Let There Be Peace on Earth to bless the book.
Everyone also wrote a special wish for the book and many shared their wishes with the group. Some of the wishes were:
"May the love you have for Max influence others to find their own rescue...spiritual or canine."
"We hope that you and Max, through the book and through your good deeds, bring happiness and peace to many people and animals."
"I wish that this book will go around the world and touch people's hearts."
"Wishing this book many miles traveled, many lives touched, and lots of great sniffs."
Max and I thank each and every one of the wonderful people who are part of our "book family" and hope that you will become one of them too.
